Keirstalyn and Garrett are a couple that sticks with you the moment you meet them. This feeling was solidified as I photographed their wedding, and saw how their friends and family flew from all over the country to love on and celebrate them. I was lucky enough to capture their spring Laurelhurst Park wedding that carried every garden party vibe you could dream of. From lush greens, pastel dresses, to epic dance moves all night long, Keirstalyn and Garrett made for one of the most iconic weddings of the season. And if you’re looking for your own Laurelhurst Park wedding inspiration, look no further! They covered it all.
Keirstalyn and Garrett chose to only have one person on each side of their bridal party, but that didn’t stop them from getting ready with all of their closest people! When talking with them about what was important to them, it became evident quickly that a more candid, fly-on-the-wall approach would be best: most of their closest people flew in from all over the country so they wanted to focus on spending time with them, not in posed photos! We started the day meeting Keirs and her gal pals at a local airbnb close to the Laurelhurst Club where they drank champagne, finished getting ready, and just truly lifted each other up. We then headed to Laurelhurst Park so Keirstalyn could get some bridal portraits, photos with her besties, and then do a first look with her dad!
Shortly after, we headed to the Laurelhurst Club to meet Garrett and his friends! The Club has an upstairs bar area where the guys had a couple of beers before we headed over to the park to take some photos with Garrett. K & G decided to not do a first look, so we had to work some magic to make sure no sneak peeks were had before the ceremony.
It was then for the serious part of their Laurelhurst Park wedding: the ceremony! Keirs’ best friend officiated and had everyone chanting a Buffalo Bills cheer before it was time for the procession. She was iconic in her own right and set the bar high for how every wedding should start. After their ceremony we took some time for family photos, then the party started! Cocktail hour segued into dinner, speeches, and dances! We found time to steal away into the park for couples photos before it started to really rain, then the reception continued on late into the evening. This wedding was one that I had anticipated for several months before it finally came to our calendars and I am so thankful to have been part of it. I could write a love letter a million miles long to this couple (I’m a words of affirmation girlie, okayyyy), but I’ll leave it with: I love you and appreciate you both so much.
