If you’re recently engaged and starting to plan a wedding, chances are you’re looking for the perfect venue! As a local Oregon wedding photographer, here are the best wedding venues near Portland from a photographic standpoint! For those holding grand parties to those having more intimate experiences, there’s something for everyone on this list. So let’s dive into it!
This list is in no particular order!
Cooper’s Hall Northeast is located in North East Portland off of Broadway! Great for smaller gatherings, it’s got a luxury feel and an elevated charm. Dinner is prepared right in front of guests while they mix and mingle at the fully loaded bar. With neutral decor, it’s a blank space that doesn’t require much to hit the mark!

Tin Roof Barn makes it’s way onto my top five venues in the area! Not only are the grounds absolutely stunning, but the owners are some of the kindest and most helpful folks around. I love this venue so much I even encouraged my brother to get married here! From super cool and unique getting ready spaces, wildflower blooms galore, draping wisteria, and a barn that is every bit vintage and charming, you won’t be disappointed. There are multiple options for ceremony spaces in case it rains, and the cocktail hour space is truly unique! With fire pits, yard games, and tons of cozy quiet places for your guests to mingle, the options for entertaining are endless! I daydream about returning to this venue all the time, so it’s easily one of the best wedding venues near Portland!

Located right across from Portand’s famous Laurelhurst Park, the Laurelhurst Club has been recently updated to reflect a stunning venue with loads of historical charm that will make your day unique! Gorgeous windows, access to the park for cocktail hour and couple’s photos, a unique upstairs lounge, and a stage set for your DJ to keep the party going all night long, you truly can’t go wrong with the club. Spring is a great time because the park is bursting with colors, rain or shine! This venue is one of my personal favorites on this list of best wedding venues in Portland!

For my outdoor lovers, Silver Falls State Park is one of my favorites and easily one of the best wedding venues near Portland! They have options for smaller party sizes, like reserving one of the shelters near the waterfalls, or you can rent their Old Ranch building which can accommodate much larger groups! Bridal parties can get ready at Smith Creek Village, then your ceremony can be held in the towering trees of the state park, followed by couple’s portraits running around the waterfalls and taking some quiet time to admire the beauty while also soaking it all in. It’s important to note that these are rustic buildings and the state park won’t provide services like rentals, catering, or set up and take down. But if you have plenty of helping hands and are up for a little DIY, it’s both a cost effective and stunning option!

Back to the city we go for the last (but not least) on this list of best wedding venues near Portland! The Evergreen is located in East Portland, not far from the Eastbank! It has a bit of an industrial feel to it, but is still warm and inviting with exposed brick and white walls that allow for a blank canvas to make your vision come to life. The most unique part of this venue is the hidden speakeasy that is entirely private for couple’s photos! There’s also access to the bar next door for cocktail hour while the venue flips the ceremony space for your reception. It’s one of the most versatile venues with such a variety in options for photos!

This list has only a couple of my favorite best venues near Portland, and there’s several more that could be added to the list!
