Do you and your partner LOVE the outdoors and all that comes with camping and hiking, but aren’t sure how to incorporate that into your big day? Look no further, friend! This oregon mountain elopement is full of inspiration for your upcoming nuptials and will give you lots of ideas for what you can do! From creekside vows at a special campsite, a beautiful bouquet from Neutral Blooms, to brats and cold beers over the fire, it was simple, elegant, and just what these two were looking for.
Amy and Hans are actually midwesterners that have lived in Oregon for the past couple of years. They met in college, love the outdoors, and have the sickest camper van (even though she gave us some trouble) that has travelled all over the west coast with them. When this idea of a camping and mountain elopement came into my noggin, they were just the couple I thought of who would really dig the concept. It also just so happened to be approaching their one year anniversary, so we threw on their wedding attire, wrote some vows reflecting on the past year, and made a day out of their favorite things.
After we did a quick exchange of vows by the creek, Hans found a couple of sticks to use to cook some brats over the fire, we enjoyed a couple of IPAs from a local brewery, and then took some time for bride and groom portraits! Part one of this camping mountain elopement was almost complete!
We then headed higher up in elevation so we could get closer to the mountain as the sun was starting to set. Mt Hood was beaming behind these two during golden hour, making this mountain elopement something straight out of a fairytale. They even got in the water!
